❤️ Nature & Soul
Pocket was incredibly trusting, calm, and adaptable. She was not skittish at all. She was clean and would wait to return to her cage to use the bathroom. She showed the ultimate trust by falling asleep in a dark, enclosed pocket, completely reliant on my movement and care. Her personality was one of profound peace and contentment—a mouse who found her perfect place in the world (a pocket) and was happy to stay there, sharing quiet companionship.
⭐ Special Memory
During a long, stressful drive to a new city, I had Pocket in her travel carrier. She was anxious, climbing the bars. On a rest stop, I gently transferred her to the front pocket of my hoodie. She immediately burrowed in, calmed down, and fell asleep. For the remaining three hours of the drive, she slept peacefully against my heart, a tiny, warm, comforting presence during my own anxiety. She trusted me to navigate the unknown, and in return, she provided a steady, living warmth that kept me calm. It was a perfect, silent partnership.
🐾 Favorite Things
Hoodie pockets, traveling companionship, quiet naps, warm sleeping spots, trusting transport, calm exploration

Honoring a mouse who discovered the ultimate nest: the front pocket of a hoodie, where she would happily sleep through movies, work, and study sessions.

Pocket earned her name through preference, not coincidence. A small, fawn-colored mouse, she discovered the warmth and security of a hoodie pocket on her first day home and claimed it as her own. She would willingly climb into a proffered pocket, make a few turns, and settle into a soft ball for hours. She traveled the house this way, a warm, sleeping weight against my chest. She was calm, trusting, and portable. Her life was a series of cozy naps in a moving, breathing nest, punctuated by periods of exploration on a desk or bed. The hoodie feels too light now, its purpose as a mobile mouse nest forgotten.
