❤️ Nature & Soul
Nibbles was creative, determined, and had a unique perspective on his world. He was busy, always working on his latest project. He was curious about new building materials we provided. He showed trust by working on his nest while we watched. His personality was that of a tiny, furry engineer or sculptor—driven to create not just a home, but a statement.
⭐ Special Memory
We started a 'Nibbles Building Supply' box. It contained safe, varied materials: corrugated cardboard strips, untreated seagrass, small, flat pieces of bark, and bits of hay. We'd put a selection in his cage and watch. One week, he used the corrugated cardboard to create a perfect, arched doorway for his hideout. Another time, he used the seagrass to weave a lattice wall. It was incredible to see the different structures he conceived and built with his tiny paws and teeth. We documented each creation with photos.

A tribute to a mouse whose nest-building was less about softness and more about structural innovation, using unexpected materials.

Nibbles, a grey and white mouse, was an avant-garde architect. While other mice sought the fluffiest materials, Nibbles incorporated structural elements. He would weave stiff strips of cardboard into the walls of his nest for support. He used popsicle sticks as rafters. He would drag in small, smooth pebbles from his mineral block and arrange them in a circle at the nest's entrance, like a tiny garden path. His nests were less 'fluffy cloud' and more 'fortified bunker.' They were fascinating, complex structures that reflected a unique mouse mind. His cage was a constantly evolving installation art piece.
