❤️ Nature & Soul
Monsoon was bold, energetic, and incredibly sweet. He was a survivor, having lost his tail but adapting perfectly. He was communicative with chirps and clicks, especially when hungry for his fruit mix. He showed trust by leaping onto us without hesitation and by sleeping in exposed places. His personality was vibrant and engaging—a tiny, prehistoric-looking acrobat who brought a smile with his nightly antics.
⭐ Special Memory
The first time Monsoon 'fired up' for us was magical. He was normally a muted brown and orange. One evening, under his night bulb, he became super vibrant—his oranges turned neon, his patterns sharpened. It was like watching a blacklight poster come to life. We learned it was a mood/temperature response, but it felt like a special display just for us. We'd often try to create the perfect conditions to see his 'fireworks,' and it never got old.
🐾 Favorite Things
Spray bottle misting, shoulder sleeping, neon colors, nighttime leaps

No Reminder

A tribute to a crested gecko whose world was one of rain-drenched leaves, whose sticky-toed explorations turned our home into a nightly adventure.

Monsoon lived for the mist. The sound of the spray bottle would bring him to the front glass immediately. He would sit through the entire misting, turning his body, drinking from leaves, getting utterly drenched. His energy was explosive at night—leaping from wall to plant to arm with fearless accuracy. He had a particular fondness for shoulders and would often fall asleep tucked into a collar. His dropped tail (from before we got him) gave him a cute, frog-like appearance. The nightly ritual of creating rain for him is a habit we can't break, but now it waters an empty jungle.
