❤️ Nature & Soul
Citrine was affectionate, calm, and deeply social. He seemed to crave interaction, glass-surfing when he wanted out. He was intelligent, learning to associate the salad bowl with mealtime and waiting by his dish. He showed affection by falling asleep on us, his breathing slow and steady. His personality was simply sweet—an easygoing friend who asked for little and gave so much simple, joyful companionship in return.
⭐ Special Memory
When I was sick with the flu, confined to the couch, Citrine was my constant companion. I would let him out, and he would immediately crawl onto my chest, find a warm spot, and settle down. He stayed there for hours, a warm, comforting weight. His presence was soothing and undemanding. In my feverish state, his steady warmth and calm breathing were a tangible anchor to wellness. He seemed to know he was needed, and he provided silent, scaly support.
🐾 Favorite Things
Fleece blankets, arm waving, cricket chasing, chest cuddles

Celebrating a bearded dragon whose scales held sunset hues, whose gentle nature made him a living, breathing sunbeam on difficult days.

Citrine was warmth incarnate. His yellow-orange coloring glowed under his lamp, and his disposition was just as sunny. He had a habit of 'waving' with one front arm—a gesture of submission that in his case seemed like a friendly hello. He loved to cuddle, burrowing into fleece blankets or against a neck. His beard rarely darkened, only during bath time protests. He was a messy eater, chasing crickets with enthusiastic, if not always accurate, lunges. The corner where his tank sat was a literal and figurative bright spot in the house, now dimmed.
