❤️ Nature & Soul
Lagoon was cautious, intelligent, and majestic. He learned his feeding schedule and would wait by the front glass at the right time. He was a master of body language, his dewlap extensions and head bobs communicating his mood clearly. He showed trust by climbing onto our arms without hesitation and by sleeping in exposed positions in his tank. His personality was that of a wild spirit who chose to coexist with us, making every interaction feel like a privilege.
⭐ Special Memory
The first time Lagoon successfully caught a live feeder fish in his pool was breathtaking. He watched from his branch, completely motionless. Then, in a movement too fast to fully see, he was in the water. There was a splash, a swirl, and he emerged back on his branch, the fish held firmly in his jaws. He ate it with deliberate, powerful bites. It was a raw, primal display of his capabilities, a reminder that beneath the beauty was a highly effective predator. We respected him all the more for it.
🐾 Favorite Things
Pool soaking, feeder fish, branch perches, tail balancing

Honoring a water dragon whose stillness mirrored the surface of a pond, whose sudden dives were glimpses of a powerful, hidden nature.

Lagoon was a study in contrasts: perfectly still one moment, a blur of motion the next. His vibrant green body, adorned with stripes along his tail, was camouflage perfected. He loved to soak for hours, submerged up to his nostrils, eyes closed. When hunting, he was a precision missile—tongue or entire body striking with unbelievable speed. Handling him felt like holding wildness itself; he was calm but always alert, his long tail wrapped securely for balance. The filter hums for an empty tank now, and the still water reflects nothing, missing the elegant dragon who gave it life.
