❤️ Nature & Soul
Pebble was the essence of gentle trust. She was never skittish, always approaching the front glass when we appeared. She was patient, enduring handling from children with a placid demeanor. She was clean and predictable in all her habits. She showed affection by crawling into a cupped hand and falling asleep, her warm belly a perfect weight. Her personality wasn't flashy, but it was deeply genuine and reassuring—a steady, low-maintenance friend whose presence was a soft light in the room.
⭐ Special Memory
Pebble was my first reptile, a rehome from a classroom. I was nervous, but she was patient with my learning curve. The special memory is from her first successful shed with me. I was worried because her previous sheds had been problematic. I provided a proper moist hide, and when I saw her emerge, completely clean with the old skin left perfectly in the hide, I felt a surge of pride and relief. She looked brighter, and she licked my finger after I checked her over—a tiny gesture that felt like a 'thank you.' It was the moment I knew I could provide for her, and our bond was sealed.
🐾 Favorite Things
Warm hides, mealworms, gentle handling, clean enclosures

No Reminder

A tribute to a leopard gecko whose resilience was as solid as stone, who thrived with quiet contentment in her perfectly arranged world of warmth and hides.

Pebble was simplicity and sweetness. A 'normal' morph leopard gecko with spots like scattered ink, she asked for little and gave so much calm in return. Her life was a cycle of warm hide, cool hide, moist hide, and food dish. She was a creature of profound habit. Her tail, once dropped in a childhood scare and regrown in a stumpy, adorable shape, was a testament to her resilience. She took food with a gentle, almost polite grab, never missing. Her squeaks were rare and precious. Her enclosure was a model of minimalist contentment, and now its perfect order feels sterile, missing the gentle life that gave it purpose.
