❤️ Nature & Soul
Zephyr was boldness and delicacy in one tiny package. She was incredibly curious, always wanting to be out exploring during handling time, leaping from hand to hand without fear. She was a messy eater, delighting in her Repashy diet but often getting it on her face, requiring a gentle wipe. She was communicative, with different chirps for curiosity, annoyance, and contentment. She showed trust by falling asleep in the strangest positions on our hands or collars, her body going completely limp. Her personality was vibrant and whimsical—a tiny, prehistoric-looking astronaut exploring the jungle of our home.
⭐ Special Memory
One rainy night, Zephyr escaped her terrarium. After a panicked hour, we found her not on the floor, but nearly at the ceiling, having climbed a floor-to-ceiling curtain. She was calmly licking water droplets from the windowpane, backlit by a flash of lightning. Instead of being frightened, she seemed in her element—a wild thing tasting the rain. Carefully retrieving her, we felt we had glimpsed her soul: not a captive, but a fearless explorer who simply shared her canopy with us. After that, we added a misting system to her home to give her that rain she loved.

No Reminder

Celebrating a crested gecko whose leaps were acts of faith, whose delicate grip turned our room into a rainforest canopy only she could fully navigate.

Zephyr was a living leaf in the wind. A flame-crested gecko with lashes like a dream, she was arboreal poetry. Her world was vertical, and she mapped the ceiling of her terrarium, the curtains, and even the tops of bookshelves with sticky-footed confidence. Her jumps were breathtaking—a calculated crouch, then a spring into space, landing with a soft *pat* and an immediate, unshakable grip. She was most alive at night, her dark eyes wide, licking moisture from leaves and hunting tiny fruit flies. Her soft chirps and clicks were the soundtrack to our evenings. The air itself feels less magical now, missing the possibility of her sudden, graceful traversal from one world to another.
