Marshmallow's Soft Sweetness

Marshmallow, a white Angora rabbit with clouds of fur, was softness and sweetness combined. His fur was an explosion of white fluff that required regular grooming, which he accepted with patient grace. But his true softness was in his nature: gentle, patient, deeply affectionate. He had a particular way of requesting attention: he would hop slowly to your feet, rise up on your hind legs, and place your front paws gently on your ankle, looking up with dark eyes from his fluffy face. Once picked up (which he allowed with remarkable patience), he would nestle into the crook of an arm, completely relaxed. His favorite spot was on a white fluffy rug where he would practically disappear into his surroundings. Our home feels less soft without his fluffy presence. We miss our living marshmallow.
