Oreo's Sweet Layers

Oreo, a Dutch rabbit with perfect black and white markings, lived up to his name—layers of personality that revealed themselves slowly, each more delightful than the last. At first glance, he was a proper, tidy rabbit with impeccable markings. But as we learned his ways, we discovered his mischievous side (stealing socks), his dramatic side (flopping over with a sigh when bored), his affectionate side (gentle nose bonks for attention). He had a particular routine: morning zoomies around the dining room, afternoon siesta in his favorite hidey-house, evening cuddles on the couch. Each layer of his personality added depth to our understanding of him. Our home feels one-dimensional without his complex presence. We miss our layered friend, our reminder that beings are rarely as simple as they appear.
