❤️ Nature & Soul
Frost was fearless, energetic, and a predator out of proportion to her size. She had a metabolism like a hummingbird's, requiring constant food. She was curious and bold, often standing on her hind legs to get a better view. Her personality was one of concentrated ferocity—a reminder that power isn't always about size, but about intensity and adaptation.
⭐ Special Memory
The most astonishing memory is watching her hunt a cricket. She didn't just pounce; she danced—a series of leaps, twists, and feints, almost playful, before the final, lightning-fast strike. It was hunting as performance art, a display of predatory genius in a package small enough to fit in a teacup.
🐾 Favorite Things
Live insects, tunnel systems, hunting games

1 day before

A tribute to a rescued weasel (least weasel) whose tiny size, boundless energy, and ferocious hunting spirit belied her minute stature.

Frost was found in a garage, a least weasel—the world's smallest carnivore—apparently trapped and starving. We gave her a large, enriched enclosure with tubes, hides, and live insect prey. She was a hyperactive blur of brown and white, investigating every corner, disappearing into holes, and popping out elsewhere. In winter, she'd molt to pure white except for a black tail tip. The weasel box is motionless now, missing the flicker of her movement, her high-pitched chitters, and the astonishing sight of her taking down a mouse nearly her own size.
