❤️ Nature & Soul
Zephyr was aloof, powerful, and a perfect predator. He enjoyed enrichment that simulated hunting—dragging hides, puzzle feeders with meat. He was not a pet but a resident ambassador, teaching about a secretive northern species. His personality was one of wild dignity—a cat built for snow and solitude, living a protected life but never losing his essential wildness.
⭐ Special Memory
The most powerful memory is watching him in a snowfall. He came out of his shelter, touched the snow with a huge, furry paw, then bounded through it, leaping and pouncing, his thick coat dusted with white. He looked utterly in his element, a ghost cat playing in a winter world, reminding us of the remote forests he was meant to inhabit.
🐾 Favorite Things
Snow play, hidden perches, hunting simulations

A tribute to a rescued Canada lynx whose tufted ears and silent step embodied the spirit of the northern wilderness.

Zephyr was an orphaned kitten found after his mother was hit by a vehicle. He was raised for release but became too habituated to humans. We built him a large, forested enclosure with climbing structures. He was a creature of shadows and stealth, his padded feet making no sound. His tufted ears and ruffed face gave him a perpetually serious expression. The enclosure feels watched now, missing the glow of his eyes from a hidden perch, the powerful grace of his leap from log to platform, and the rare, coughing cry he'd make.
