Ember was gentle, damaged, and a victim of human desire for novelty. He had a specialized diet of fruits and insects. He could deliver a toxic bite from glands in his elbows, but without teeth, this was less threatening. His personality was one of quiet suffering turned to cautious trust—a wild animal robbed of his defenses, learning to accept care from a different kind of primate.

⭐ Special Memory

The most poignant memory is of him finally accepting a gum-like treat from a syringe, designed for animals with dental issues. He took it slowly, his huge eyes watching me, then consumed it with a look of quiet satisfaction. In that small moment, we connected—not as pet and owner, but as one creature helping another heal from human-caused harm.
