❤️ Nature & Soul
Nova was focused, powerful, and incredibly careful. He loved to jump and would get excited seeing courses set up. He was sensitive but not spooky, requiring a confident rider. His personality was dual—calm and sweet in the barn, explosive and brilliant in the ring. He was a true athlete who loved his job.
⭐ Special Memory
The most brilliant round was at a Grand Prix event. The course was huge, technical, and intimidating. Nova was flawless. He gauged distances perfectly, adjusted his stride at the last second, and cleared each massive fence with inches to spare. The crowd was silent during his round, then erupted as he cleared the final combination. He finished double-clear, one of only three horses to do so. In that round, all his talent, training, and heart came together. He wasn't just jumping fences
🐾 Favorite Things
Nova loved his leopard-spotted dramatic coat, powerful careful jumping technique, workmanlike ring attitude, and creating explosive brilliant rounds that combined talent and heart.

Honoring a spotted Knabstrupper whose dramatic coat and powerful jump made every round an explosion of talent and heart.

Nova was a supernova in horse form. A leopard-spotted Knabstrupper, his coat was a canvas of black spots on white, each spot unique. He was a born jumper, with incredible power and a careful technique. Watching him jump was breathtaking—he'd tuck his knees perfectly, arc beautifully over fences. He had a workmanlike attitude in the ring, all business. The jump course feels small now, missing the sight of his spotted form soaring over oxers, the thunder of his takeoff and landing. The awards from his jumping career are now memories, not goals.
