❤️ Nature & Soul
Ember was kind, patient, and endlessly forgiving. She put up with my clumsy early riding, my teenage dramas, my adult stress. She was constant, a touchstone throughout the changes of my life. Her personality was like a hearth fire—warm, comforting, and the center around which memories gathered. She wasn't just my horse
⭐ Special Memory
Ember was my living diary - from bright chestnut youth through roan aging, she witnessed and comforted through every life chapter, her fading coat never dimming the bright warmth of her constant spirit.
🐾 Favorite Things
Ember loved growing alongside her person through all life stages, babysitting new foals in retirement, her senior feed nickers, and being the constant hearth fire of memories.

A tribute to an old chestnut mare whose flame-colored coat dimmed with age but whose gentle spirit burned bright until the end.
Ember was aptly named—a bright chestnut in her youth who faded to a softer roan in her old age, like embers cooling. She was my first horse, bought when I was 12 and she was 7. We grew up together, competed in 4-H, explored trails. In her retirement, she became a babysitter for new foals and a gentle ear for my teenage troubles. The barn feels like it's missing a chapter of my life now, a living diary now closed. The stall where she'd nicker for her senior feed is just quiet.
