Luna's Silver Dream

Luna was small but mighty. A dapple grey Connemara with a kind eye and a spring-loaded jump, she was a child's dream pony. She could clear a 3-foot course with inches to spare, then patiently carry a toddler around on a lead line. Her coat changed with the seasons—dark in winter, almost white in summer. She had a thoughtful way about her, considering obstacles before tackling them. The jump arena is too quiet without the sure sound of her hooves taking off and landing, the pony-sized drag marks in the sand. Her stall, once decorated with blue ribbons, now holds only memories.
