❤️ Nature & Soul
Pippin was clever, bold, and endlessly entertaining. He was stubborn when he wanted to be, planting his feet like a furry boulder. He was surprisingly gentle with the very young, seeming to understand their fragility. He showed affection by following his favorite people around like a small, shaggy shadow and by giving gentle, exploratory nibbles on sleeves. His personality was a sparkler—bright, fizzy, unpredictable, and guaranteed to make you smile. He was the comic relief and the heart-stealer of the farm.
⭐ Special Memory
Pippin's greatest escapade was the 'Great Christmas Decoration Heist.' One December evening, he somehow nudged open his stall, wandered onto the deck, and carefully pulled every jingle bell and edible-looking ornament off the lower branches of the outdoor Christmas tree. We found him in the morning, standing proudly amidst a pile of tinsel and bells, happily munching on a gingerbread ornament. He looked utterly pleased with himself. The photo of him, decked in tinsel and wearing a look of pure triumph, is a family treasure. It perfectly captured his mischievous spirit.
🐾 Favorite Things
Pippin loved unauthorized garden sampling, playing chase with dogs, hat stealing, shoelace untying, and any activity that expressed his merry, mischievous heart.

A remembrance of a mischievous Shetland pony whose small stature held an enormous personality, teaching everyone that joy comes in all sizes.

Pippin was less a pony and more a fuzzy, four-legged tornado of comedy and affection. A chestnut Shetland with a mane that defied all brushes, he believed the world existed for his amusement. He was an escape artist of legendary talent, often found in the garden sampling the carrots or on the porch waiting for someone to notice him. He gave rides to children with a patient, if slightly bored, demeanor, but his true joy was playing. He would 'chase' dogs, steal hats, and untie shoelaces with devilish precision. The barn lacks its chaos agent now. We miss the sound of his cheeky, high-pitched whinny and the sight of his determined trot as he embarked on some new, unauthorized adventure.
