❤️ Nature & Soul
Wisp was delicate, social, and required expert care. She lived with a companion for social needs. Their diet was specialized—nectar mixes, insects, and pollen. She was observational rather than handleable due to her fragility. Her personality was one of tiny, perfect adaptation. She was a living marvel of miniaturization and gliding evolution, a privilege to provide for.
⭐ Special Memory
The most magical memory is watching her glide under a blacklight (which is safe for brief periods). Some of her fur fluoresced, so her glide path became a streaking comet of soft light across the dark room. It was like watching a tiny fairy or spirit, a secret beauty of nature revealed by technology. It was a moment where science and wonder met perfectly.
🐾 Favorite Things
Thin branches, silent glides, nectar mixes, blacklight fluorescence, tiny chirps

Remembering a feathertail glider whose tiny size, aerial acrobatics, and delicate nature made her a treasure to care for.

Wisp was a whisper with wings. A feathertail glider (the world's smallest gliding mammal), she was barely larger than a mouse, with a membrane for gliding and a feather-like tail for steering. Her enclosure was a tall, planted terrarium with thin branches for launching. Her glides were silent, graceful arcs. The night is missing the almost imperceptible rustle of her movements, the tiny chirps she made to her companion, and the breathtaking sight of her launching from a high branch, becoming a living paper airplane for a few seconds before landing.
