Puck was intelligent, curious, and could be nippy if startled or if food was involved. He formed strong bonds but required experienced handling. He was a true nocturnal, most active and playful when the world was asleep. His personality was a mix of primate-like curiosity and carnivore instinct—a complex animal that demanded respect and understanding.

⭐ Special Memory

The most delightful memory is of him 'helping' unwrap presents one Christmas Eve. We let him explore the tree (supervised). He used his nimble fingers and prehensile tail to carefully undo ribbons and peel back tape on a small package, not to destroy, but with focused curiosity about what was inside. It was a display of remarkable dexterity and intelligence, applied to a very human tradition.

Remembering a kinkajou whose nocturnal antics, prehensile tail, and sweet tooth made him a challenging but unforgettable exotic.

Puck was a honey bear of the night. A kinkajou with soft, golden-brown fur, large eyes, and a fully prehensile tail, he was a bundle of energy after dark. His enclosure was a large, vertical space filled with ropes, branches, and hiding spots. He'd use his tail as a fifth limb with incredible dexterity. The night is too quiet now, missing his chittering vocalizations, the rustle of him moving through his play structure, and the gentle grip of his tiny hands taking pieces of fruit.
