❤️ Nature & Soul
Nimbus was docile, hardy, and remarkably tolerant. He rarely tried to escape when his tank was opened. He seemed to enjoy the warmth of human hands. He was a creature of routine, becoming active when the lights dimmed and the mister went off. His personality was one of amphibian contentment. In his world of humidity and crickets, he was a perfect, plump example of arboreal frog life.
⭐ Special Memory
The cutest memory is of him 'drinking.' Unlike most frogs that drink by absorbing water through their skin, White's tree frogs will sometimes lick droplets directly. Watching Nimbus extend his tongue deliberately to lick water from a leaf, then pull it back in with a satisfied blink, was a delightful glimpse into frog table manners.
🐾 Favorite Things
Glass clinging, leaf jumping, mist droplets, cricket hunting, warm hands

1 day before

A tribute to a white's tree frog whose plump body, vertical pupils, and sticky toes made him a charming arboreal companion.

Nimbus was a cheerful, chubby cloud with legs. A White's tree frog with vibrant green skin that could darken to brown, his most endearing features were his big, golden eyes with horizontal pupils and his perpetually smiling mouth. He spent nights clinging to the glass or leaves of his terrarium, and days sleeping tucked into a hiding spot. His call was a deep, resonating 'crawwk-crawwk' that he'd rarely make in captivity. The terrarium is too dry now, missing the nightly mist that would prompt him to emerge, the soft *plop* as he jumped from leaf to glass, and his calm acceptance of being handled.
