❤️ Nature & Soul
Tumbleweed was energetic, mischievous, and delightfully silly. She loved out-of-cage time and would hop around the room with incredible speed and agility. She was a chewer of great passion, preferring willow balls above all. She enjoyed brief chin scratches but was too busy for prolonged cuddles. Her personality was pure kinetic joy—a creature designed for movement, dust, and sudden expressions of happiness.
⭐ Special Memory
The funniest memory is of her discovering her reflection in a full-length mirror during playtime. She approached it cautiously, then popcorned straight up, apparently startled by the other chinchilla doing the same. This led to a 10-minute session of her popcorning at the mirror, stopping to look, then popcorning again. It was a hilarious loop of self-induced surprise, a testament to her playful, if not deeply introspective, nature.
🐾 Favorite Things
Chinchilla dust, applewood sticks, willow balls, popcorning jumps, cage exploration

Celebrating a chinchilla whose dust baths and explosive 'popcorning' brought boundless energy and softness into our lives.

Tumbleweed was a cloud with ears. A standard gray chinchilla, her fur was so dense and soft it seemed to defy physics. Her evening ritual was sacred: a vigorous roll in special chinchilla dust, emerging as a puffball with two dark eyes and whiskers. Afterwards, she'd engage in 'popcorning'—sudden, joyful leaps straight up in the air, twisting mid-jump. The room misses the soft *pat-pat-pat* of her dust bath routine, the rapid thumps of her popcorning against cage walls, and the gentle *crunch-crunch* of her chewing on applewood sticks.
