❤️ Nature & Soul
Pixel was timid yet curious. She'd freeze when spotted, hoping her camouflage worked, but would eagerly approach a food-scented finger. She was delicate to handle, her tail drop-ready but never used with us. She had a favorite sleeping spot—a curled leaf near the top of the tank. Her personality was a paradox: a fragile-looking creature with incredible physical abilities, a shy being who grew to recognize her caregiver.
⭐ Special Memory
The cutest memory is of her first successful hunt in her bioactive tank. A small cricket escaped the feeding dish. Pixel, who usually ate prepared food, tracked it with laser focus. She crept forward in slow motion, then launched with shocking speed, catching it with a precise snap. She then sat very still, swallowing, looking immensely proud of herself. It was a glimpse of the wild instincts living just beneath her captive-bred calm.
🐾 Favorite Things
Cork bark, glass climbing, repashy food, curled leaves, cricket hunting

Celebrating a crested gecko whose wide eyes and sticky-toed explorations made her a living, breathing cartoon character.

Pixel was an escape artist with adhesive feet. A crested gecko with lash-like ridges over enormous, lidless eyes, she looked perpetually surprised. She'd spend days sleeping camouflaged against cork bark, then become a ninja at night, scaling smooth glass walls with ease. Her landing after a leap was a soft *plop*, followed by deliberate, gecko-toed steps. The terrarium is too static now, missing the sudden appearance of her face pressed against the glass at feeding time, the gentle lick of repashy from a spoon. The misting system still creates rain, but no tiny reptile drinks the droplets.
