❤️ Nature & Soul
Kiko was clever, bold, and intensely social. He could be moody—fluffing up and making dinosaur-like growls when displeased, or cuddling under a hand for scratches when affectionate. He learned to mimic several phrases, his favorite being 'Pretty bird!' which he'd shout while dancing. His personality was a tropical storm—loud, colorful, unpredictable, and exhilarating. He didn't just live in our home; he animated it.
⭐ Special Memory
The funniest memory is the 'Great Pasta Heist.' I left a plate of spaghetti unattended for 30 seconds. Kiko swooped down, grabbed a single strand in his beak, and flew triumphantly to the highest bookshelf, trailing sauce like a feathered mobster. He then proceeded to 'eat' it by flinging it around and rubbing his face in it, ending up with a tomato-sauce beard. The look of pure, messy triumph on his face was priceless. He taught us to never underestimate a small creature with aerial capabilities.
🐾 Favorite Things
Shiny objects, microwave sounds, hair preening, T-stand throne, curtain rods

Remembering a green-cheeked conure whose emerald feathers and mischievous intelligence brought tropical color and chaos to every day.

Kiko was a feathered bolt of lightning. A green-cheeked conure with a scarlet tail and knowing dark eyes, he ruled the living room from his T-stand throne. His morning 'greeting' was a repertoire of whistles, beeps, and a passable impression of the microwave. He'd fly to shoulders uninvited, preen hair meticulously, and steal shiny objects with pirate-like cunning. The room is too quiet now, missing the rustle of his preening, the soft 'kissing' sounds he'd make when content, and the sudden, colorful flash of his flight from curtain rod to lamp. His empty cage still has a tiny bell that no one rings.
