Buster showed up one rainy night, skinny and scared, on our porch. We meant to foster him, just for a little while. But he looked at us with those hopeful eyes and wiggled his way permanently into our hearts. He wasn't the dog we planned for, but he was the dog we needed-a lesson in openness, resilience, and the beautiful things that happen when you say 'yes' to a soul in need. This is for our wonderful, unplanned joy.
❤️ Nature & Soul
Buster was a grateful soul. Having known hardship, he never took a full belly or a soft bed for granted. He was joyful, adaptable, and loved his newfound family with a devotion that was almost overwhelming. He was a quirky mix of traits-sometimes goofy, sometimes serene. His past was a mystery, but his future was clear: he was home, and he loved every second of it.
⭐ Special Memory
The moment Buster truly became 'ours' was his first vet visit. Terrified, he tried to bolt. But when my wife held out her arms, he ran straight into them and buried his face in her neck, trembling. In that moment of fear, he chose us as his safe harbor. We knew then he had chosen us as much as we had chosen him.
🐾 Favorite Things
Buster loved car rides, sticking his head out the window with a grin of pure bliss. He was obsessed with squeaky toys, carefully de-squeaking each one. His favorite thing was sleeping in the big human bed, sprawled diagonally in the middle, as if making up for all the cold nights he'd spent alone before finding us.
