Ginger was well-named. She had a sweet, affectionate core, but with a definite zing of spice and sass. She was opinionated, expressive, and her mood was always clear from the set of her ears and the whip of her tail. She kept us on our toes, made us laugh with her dramatics, and melted our hearts with her sudden, intense cuddles. Life was never bland with her around. This is for our spicy, sweet girl.
❤️ Nature & Soul
Ginger was a fiery, passionate, and exuberant soul. She was energetic, clumsy, and perpetually enthusiastic. Her copper coat matched her warm, bright personality. She was friendly to a fault, often forgetting her size in her desire to say hello. She was not the brightest, but she made up for it with a heart so big it seemed to glow. Her love was loud, messy, and absolutely genuine.
⭐ Special Memory
Ginger was famous for her 'happy trauma' greetings. When you came home, she would be so overcome with joy that she'd sprint toward you, skid on the hardwood floor, crash into your legs, and then roll onto her back for belly rubs, all in one fluid, disastrously happy motion. It was a welcome home that left bruises but filled our hearts.
🐾 Favorite Things
Ginger loved running through fields of tall grass, her coat flowing behind her. She was obsessed with retrieving sticks from ponds, emerging soaked and triumphant. Her favorite thing was, after an active day, collapsing in a tired, grateful heap across as many laps as she could reach.
