Posy was a fluffy dream of a cat with a semi-long coat in soft cream and peach colors that reminded us of flower petals. She had a sweet, gentle nature that matched her floral name. She was particularly drawn to plants and flowers, not to eat them (she was always careful), but to be near them. She would sniff blossoms with delicate curiosity, bat gently at dangling leaves, and position herself where she could be surrounded by greenery. She was calm and patient, allowing herself to be gently decorated with flower crowns during garden parties. She had a soft, melodic purr that seemed to harmonize with the rustle of leaves. Her presence brought a touch of the garden indoors, making our home feel like an extension of nature.

Posy's most enchanting habit was her 'Floral Selection.' When we would bring cut flowers into the house, she would inspect each bouquet carefully. She had clear preferences: she loved roses and lavender, was indifferent to daisies, and actively avoided lilies (fortunately, as they're toxic to cats). When she found a bouquet she approved of, she would sit beside it and purr, sometimes gently touching a petal with her nose. We started consulting her on our floral purchases, bringing home options to see which she 'chose.' Her selections always seemed to make the room feel more harmonious, as if she had an innate understanding of beauty and balance.
