Her most defining characteristic was her love of water in all its forms—not to play in, but to observe and listen to. Rain was her symphony, dripping faucets her melody, shower steam her misty paradise. She was an observer by nature, content to watch the world from her favorite perches. She was affectionate but not demanding, offering her companionship as a gentle gift rather than a requirement.
⭐ Special Memory
Pippa had what we called her 'Rain Ritual.' When it began to rain, she would go to her special cushion by the largest window. She would sit perfectly still, ears rotating like satellite dishes to catch every variation in the rainfall—the patter on the roof, the splash in puddles, the drip from the eaves. Sometimes she would 'conduct' with one paw, moving it in time with the rhythm. If the rain was particularly musical—with varying intensities or accompanied by distant thunder—she would trill softly, as if harmonizing. We started joining her for these rainy afternoons, sitting quietly with tea, listening to the rain through her attentive ears.
