📋 A Gentle Beginning
A tribute to a Cockatiel who loved to sit in front of a fan or open window, feeling the breeze ruffle his feathers, looking utterly blissful.

Sirocco was our wind bird. A normal gray cockatiel, his greatest joy was a steady breeze. We'd set up a small fan on low near his perch, and he would sit for hours, facing it, eyes half-closed, letting his feathers ruffle. He'd let out soft, happy chirps. It was as if he was dreaming of flight. His simple pleasure was contagious, reminding us to appreciate small sensory delights.
❤️ Nature & Soul
Sirocco was gentle, easy-going, and a creature of simple pleasures. He was not particularly vocal or demanding. He seemed to have a Zen-like quality, especially when enjoying his breeze. He was affectionate in a quiet way, enjoying head scratches. His personality was uncomplicated and sweet.
⭐ Special Memory
On a hot summer day, we had all the windows open, creating a nice cross-breeze. We placed Sirocco's perch in the airflow. He puffed up, spread his wings slightly, tipped his head back, and closed his eyes. He sat like that, perfectly still except for his feathers moving in the wind, for over an hour. He looked so profoundly peaceful and happy that we all ended up just sitting quietly, enjoying the breeze with him. It was a shared moment of pure, simple contentment.
🐾 Favorite Things
Sirocco loved a shallow dish of cool water to dip his feet in on hot days. He enjoyed preening a soft feather duster (meant for him). His favorite thing, unequivocally, was the breeze from a fan or window.
