Sunny was a drop of liquid sunshine. A clear yellow canary, he was the color of daffodils. His song was bright, clear, and constant during daylight hours. He didn't have a complex personality; his job was to be beautiful and sing, and he performed it perfectly. His simple, radiant presence lifted the atmosphere of any room. Coming home to his song felt like coming home to joy itself. His cage is now a quiet, empty sunbeam.
