📋 A Gentle Beginning
A tribute to a Peach-Faced Lovebird whose bright orange face and fiercely energetic nature was a constant source of vibrant action.
📝 Moments & Memories
Use this space to share your companion’s story in your own words. You may write about their personality, favorite moments, the bond you shared, or anything you feel captures who they were and what they meant to you. There is no right or wrong way to write this - take your time and speak from the heart.
Blaze was a tiny tornado of orange and green. A Peach-Faced Lovebird, his face was a vibrant peach color that lived up to his name. He was always in motion—climbing, chewing, chirping, flying laps. He was fiercely loyal to his mate but feisty with everyone else. His energy was boundless and entertaining. The cage now feels like a still life, missing its whirling dervish of color and sound.
❤️ Nature & Soul
Blaze was energetic, bold, and feisty. He had a big personality in a small package. He was highly active and required lots of toys and space to burn energy. He was fiercely bonded to his mate and could be territorial around their cage. He was clever and enjoyed destructive toys. He was not a cuddly bird but showed affection to his mate through constant preening and feeding. To humans, he was entertaining to watch but could be nippy if hands came too close to his mate or nest.
⭐ Special Memory
Blaze and his mate, Sky, had a nightly ritual. Just before dusk, they would both climb to the highest perch, press their bodies together side-by-side, and begin a synchronized, soft chattering that lasted for about ten minutes. It was like they were debriefing their day or planning the next one. Watching this intimate, pair-bonding ritual was a privilege.
🐾 Favorite Things
Blaze loved shredding palm leaf toys into confetti. He enjoyed swinging wildly on a boing rope. His favorite thing was a piece of corn on the cob; he and his mate would cling to it together, eating side-by-side.
