📝 Moments & Memories

You may write about their personality, favorite moments, the bond you shared, or anything you feel captures who they were and what they meant to you. There is no right or wrong way to write this - take your time and speak from the heart.
Moss was a tiny, green ghost. His coloration perfectly matched the pothos and philodendrons in our sunroom. He would sit motionless on a plant, then suddenly zip out to land on a shoulder or steal a blueberry from a bowl. He was a master of surprise. His playful personality was all the more delightful for its sudden appearances. The plants now feel just like plants, missing their hidden, living jewel. This memorial is for our feathered secret, whose game of hide-and-seek brought constant, delightful surprise.
❤️ Nature & Soul
Moss was clever, playful, and mischievous. He seemed to enjoy the game of camouflage and surprise. He was independent but social on his own terms. He was curious and investigative, always exploring new nooks in the plants. He was not overly cuddly but showed affection by choosing to land on you unexpectedly. He had a variety of soft chirps and seemed to have a sense of humor about his stealthy antics.
⭐ Special Memory
We had guests over who didn't know we had a bird. Moss was hiding in the monstera plant. During a lull in conversation, a tiny, clear voice from the greenery said, 'Peekaboo!' The guests jumped, then laughed in astonishment as this little green bird emerged, looking terribly pleased with himself. It was a perfectly executed Moss moment.
🐾 Favorite Things
Moss loved hiding in the folds of curtain sheers. He was obsessed with tiny berries, like blueberries or raspberries. His favorite thing was a small, rolling bell toy; he would push it around with his beak.
