📝 Moments & Memories
Use this space to share your companion’s story in your own words.
You may write about their personality, favorite moments, the bond you shared, or anything you feel captures who they were and what they meant to you. There is no right or wrong way to write this - take your time and speak from the heart.
Pippin was love incarnate for his mate, Poppy. A vibrant green lovebird with a rosy forehead, his entire world orbited around her. Their affection was a constant, tangible thing: they preened each other for hours, shared food beak-to-beak, and slept pressed together in a fluffy ball of green and peach. Pippin was the protector, always keeping a watchful eye, and the initiator of play. His love for Poppy was so absolute it taught us about devotion. After Poppy passed, a light went out in Pippin, and though we cared for him tenderly, his heart was with her. This memorial is for our loyal green knight, whose capacity for love defined his beautiful, brief life.
❤️ Nature & Soul
Pippin was bold, energetic, and deeply affectionate—but almost exclusively toward his mate, Poppy. To humans, he was politely independent, though he would accept treats gently. His personality was brightest when interacting with Poppy; he was playful, chattering constantly to her, and incredibly gentle. He was a skilled escape artist, always figuring out how to open cage doors not just for himself, but to let Poppy out too. He had a mischievous streak and loved hiding small objects. After Poppy's passing, he became quiet, contemplative, and spent long hours gazing out the window, a testament to the depth of his bond.
⭐ Special Memory
The most beautiful memory is of Pippin and Poppy's 'Morning Sun Ritual.' At first light, they would fly to a specific curtain rod that caught the morning sun. They'd sit side-by-side, fluff up, and begin preening each other with meticulous care for a solid thirty minutes. The soft, chattering sounds they made were a private language of love. Watching this daily ceremony of mutual care was a profound lesson in partnership and tenderness.
🐾 Favorite Things
Pippin loved shredding wicker balls into long strands. He enjoyed swinging on a small bell-ring. His favorite thing was fresh corn on the cob; he and Poppy would cling to it side-by-side, eating the kernels with synchronized delight.
