Glimmer and her school were delicate, sensitive to water conditions, and beautifully subtle. They required soft, acidic water like their Amazon home. Their blue line glowed under certain lighting. Their personality was one of delicate specialization—creatures requiring specific conditions, rewarding that care with exquisite beauty.
⭐ Special Memory
The most beautiful memory is watching them in blackwater conditions. We added Indian almond leaves that tinted water tea-colored. In this dim, natural-looking water, their blue lines glowed even more strikingly, like blue fireflies in twilight forest streams.

Celebrating a green neon tetra whose small size and electric blue line brought delicate beauty to our planted tank.

Glimmer was a green neon tetra, smaller and more delicate than regular neons, with an electric blue line that glowed. The school looked like moving blue threads in green plants. The tank has lost its delicate blue threads now, missing their tiny glowing presence, the delicate movements through plants, and the specialized beauty they provided.
