❤️ Nature & Soul
Pebble was small but bold, a percher rather than constant swimmer. He preferred specific salinity levels. He'd watch everything from his perch. His personality was one of specialized adaptation—a creature requiring specific conditions, rewarding that care with unique behaviors and appearance.
⭐ Special Memory
The most charming memory is watching him 'hop' from perch to perch. Unlike most fish that swim continuously, he'd perch, watch, then hop to next spot. This unique locomotion made him seem more like a frog or insect than a fish, adding to his special character.
🐾 Favorite Things
Small live foods, perching spots, specific salinity

Celebrating a bumblebee goby whose small size and perch-loving habits brought character to our brackish tank.
Pebble was a bumblebee goby, a tiny fish with yellow and black bands like a bumblebee. He'd perch on decorations and substrate, watching the world go by. We kept him in a lightly brackish tank as recommended. The tank has lost its tiny percher now, missing his watchful rests, the bold pattern on small body, and the specialized care he required.
