Whisker was active, efficient, and built for searching. His barbels were in constant motion, feeling every inch of substrate. He was peaceful but could be surprisingly fast when food appeared. His personality was one of diligent search—a creature whose purpose was investigation and cleaning, performing this duty with constant enthusiasm.

⭐ Special Memory

The most fascinating memory is watching him under moonlight LED. His white barbels would glow in the dim light, moving like living feelers in the dark tank. He looked like an alien explorer, methodically mapping his dark world through touch rather than sight.

Celebrating a pictus catfish whose long barbels and constant motion kept our substrate clean and interesting.

Whisker was a pictus catfish with extremely long white barbels that he used to constantly search the substrate. He was nocturnal but would emerge during feedings, his silver body and black spots flashing as he searched for food. The night tank feels less active now, missing his twilight patrols, the constant barbel movement, and the efficient cleaning he provided.
