Glide was regal, sensitive, and required perfect water conditions. He was an excellent parent when breeding. His movements were slow and deliberate. His personality was one of cultivated perfection—a fish bred for beauty and requiring specific care, rewarding that care with breathtaking presence.
⭐ Special Memory
The most incredible memory is watching him parent fry. Discus secrete a mucus on their sides that fry eat. We saw Glide let tiny fry swim over his body, feeding them from his skin. This specialized parenting behavior was humbling to witness—nature's intricate solutions for survival.

Honoring a discus fish whose perfect shape and majestic presence made him our aquarium's living masterpiece.

Glide was a blue diamond discus, a fish with such perfect disc shape and stunning blue color he looked like a living work of art. He moved with regal slowness through our carefully maintained discus tank. His parenting behavior with fry was incredible to watch. The discus tank has lost its centerpiece now, missing his majestic presence, the perfection of his form, and the living art he provided daily.
