Torpedo was energetic, bold, and built for speed. He'd race the length of the tank for no apparent reason, as if celebrating being alive. He schooled loosely with other rainbows but often led the way. His personality was pure exuberant motion—a creature expressing joy through speed and color.

⭐ Special Memory

The most breathtaking memory is watching him under sunrise-simulation lighting. As the lights slowly brightened to mimic dawn, his colors would gradually appear—first the blue, then the orange—until he glowed like captured sunrise. Then he'd do his first speed run of the day, celebrating the new 'morning.'

Torpedo was a Boeseman's rainbowfish, his body transitioning from electric blue front to vibrant orange tail. He'd streak across our 4-foot tank in bursts of speed, his colors flashing under the lights. He was the fastest fish we'd ever kept. The long tank feels slow now, missing his explosive speed runs, the metallic flash when he turned, and the energy he brought to the aquatic community.
